Dječak nesiguran u svoj izgled provodi jutro s roditeljima na praznoj plaži. Njegov mir prekida dolazak druge djece zbog koje se mora suočiti sa svojim najvećim strahom.

Prvi kratkometražni film redatelja i scenarista Renéa Galla sniman je na riječkoj plaži Sablićevo, a u glavnim ulogama nalaze se Noel Trošelj, Jelena Lopatić i Damir Orlić. Maleni je premijerno prikazan na Festivalu mediteranskog filma Split u sklopu natjecateljskog programa hrvatskih kratkometražnih filmova Ješke.
