Art-kino is a public institution in the field of film art and culture which introduces the community to noteworthy art films. The building in which Art-kino is located has a rich history of film screening, due to which it has a specific, eclectic interior today. Located on premises in 1927 was the Teatrino Cappuccini, which occasionally held film screenings, and, after detailed renovations, cinema San Giorgio opened in 1937. After World War II, in 1947, the cinema is called Cinema Beograd, and after 1991 it is called Cinema Croatia. Finally, in 2008 Art-kino is established and it becomes an important part of Rijeka’s identity and culture.
