The perspective and film attractiveness of Kvarner and the City of Rijeka has been recognized by many filmmakers, ever since 1909 when the first feature film was made in this region until the present day when the list of international and domestic productions that choose Kvarner and its central point – the City of Rijeka- keeps evolving.
The Kvarnerska Film Commission is here to provide networking both with the local unrevealed talent and experienced film professionals. You have probably already heard of traditional hospitality of people from Kvarner.
In addition to all of the above, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC) encourages all foreign production companies with a programme of incentives that you can use to claim a return of 25% of the total amount invested in filming in Croatia. The City of Rijeka encourages all film stories thematically related to Rijeka.
